I dont know if I will even get an interview, but i applied at the office down the hall.

The office down the hall and the office i work in now, have to deal with each other on some things. But the position that is open isnt the one that deals with the office i currently work in.
My boss (who has been in office almost 30 years, thinks she knows how to do everyones job and talks so bad about other department heads). You will find no one in the entire building who has one nice thing to say about her. She is so mean to them down the hall that it is sad. But i am hoping i get an inteerview because both of the people down there, the boss and the main lady working there, we all get along good.
But i am worried that since everyone knows how my current boss is, and knows that she would be even more hard to deal with if i were to get the job down there, that i may not even get an interview. I'm not worried that they will say anything to her that i applied, i am just hoping i actually get an interview because i am actually qualified for the position and not because of the chance my current boss will try to make things a nightmare.
Do department heads sometimes compete against other for employees?

  • Good Luck to you. Hope you get an interview and then get the job.

I wouldn't think department heads compete for employees.
