Mattress question...

we need a new mattress.. we wake up and our upper and lower backs are so sore..we bought one 4 yrs ago and my dh picked it out ( bad idea ) he got one that you do not flip u rotate it ..so eaither i sleep in his hole or he sleeps in mine. needless to say were sore and we dont sleep.. we toss and turn. what would you ladies recomend and why.. if you love something please let me know.

My dh wants to buy a memory foam but I have my doubts. I sleep on my stomach and when I laid down on one my face sunk into it and I had a hard time breathing. Laying on my back it was extremely comfortable. They're recommending I use a pillow that's for stomach sleepers so we'll see. It's just a lot of money for a mattress when the pillow top one we have it great.

i was cosidering memory foam.. @mrs_harsh..what is the cooling core? that sounds like something my dh would like. i also consider a mattress topper.. just to throw over our mattress. but again i wasent sure on brands and types.

Memory foam mattresses are hot. But the cooling core ones have something in it that keep them cool. I had the cooling pillows before he mattress

we have a pretty thick memory foam one...he (mostly) loves it and I deal with it. It kinda sucks for sex- it can get hot- an sleeping on your stomach is almost impossible
I would honestly prefer a nice pillow top mattress

We have a sleep number and it is the closest thing to comfort since the water bed. We love it so much we bought one for my Mom and she loves it too. I never wake up sore anymore. Highly recommended.

We need a new mattress too. The one we just bought our son feels great....will probably just get a larger size...but, I have to check what type it is again

We have the Sleep Number bed. It is expensive but it lasts forever. We've had ours now for over 10 years and my sister has had hers for almost 20 years. Each of you can adjust it to your level of comfort. When you or your DH/SO rolls over neither feel what the other is doing. With no springs there is no creaking sound. I love it.

I have a memory foam too, but I hate it. It's hard and I have to use a body pillow for comfort...plus it makes you sweat. God, I miss my waterbed!!!!
