How do you wear YOUR rings? engagement on 1st or wedding band on 1st?

I wear my wedding band, then my engagement ring but I see a lot of women doing opposite? Soooooo which is the right way ya think??

  • My wedding ring is on the bottom, engagement on the top. I was always told because it's closer to the heart.

    That sounds cheesy when I repeat that. Gah!

  • I wear my engagement ring first and wedding band second. Mostly because my wedding band is slightly smaller and keeps my engagement ring from slipping off.

  • wedding band then engagement because the wedding band is in contacxt with the vein to the heart

    but honestly- whatever makes you happy

    did you know the etiquette of the high school/ college class ring was to put it on your ring finger to indicate availability?

  • i only wear the wedding band. we used the diamond in the engagement ring to trick out the band and its supporting diamond-bands. kwim?
    so, i guess i still wear 'it'..sort of.

  • mine is melded together but it was designed so that the engagement ring fit with the wedding ring which is the two outer bands

  • My set broke so I had them made into one ring, but the wedding band is on the bottom and the engagement ring is on the top.

  • as many of us know- trivia is my thing

    i used to be obsessed with Emily Post style books from pre-1970.
    I am the greatest person to have on a trivia pursuit team (as long as it isn't geography or sports, lol)
