Abscess adult content

i have always had a history of abscess . i normally get them in the fold of my leg next to my vagina or on my butt. normally they go away on their own, but yesterday i noticed that i have one one my right side under my pubic hair. it is a little painful which again is normal but im worried because i am breastfeeding my 8 week old ds. does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of this? and honestly i dont really know what it is or how it affects the body but can i pass this infection to my baby? thanks mamas.

  • Are they MRSA? Those have to be drained by a doc

  • (This might sound pervy but) do you shave in that area? Is it possible it is an ingrown hair that has become infected or are you sure it's an abcess. I would talk to my doctor about it if it's an abcess as it can be an indication of MRSA or some sort of staph infection

  • if you keep getting these,I'll bet you have a staph infection running through body
A GP can diagnose, and dermatologists remove them. You'll need a blood test

  • Who did you see before your OB? who do you see when you have a cold or the flu? That is who you want to talk to. They can refer you to a dermatologist
