This has been the major news around here lately:
A two-year-old girl almost drowned this afternoon. She was found unresponsive in the pool by daycare providers in the backyard.
911 was called immediately. Adults at the daycare started to perform CPR, then Osceola’s Police Chief arrived and took over. There were other children present that were not in the pool. Police say the girl does have a pulse and was taken to an area hospital.
The St. Joseph Metro Homicide Unit was called out to also help with the investigation.
The baby has since been airlifted to the children's hospital downstate in Indy. All the local news have been interviewing people in the neighborhood who insist the daycare provider is the most amazing, awesome babysitter ever, and that all their kids went there. All the kids and both adults working there were in the pool together, got out to change, and while they were drying all the kids off inside, realized one was missing.
Should home daycares be allowed to have pools? Should the be allowed to let the kids in those pools or have to keep them locked up until the kids are home and only the residents are there?Answer Question
