I am Polish-American and I am..

having my 40th Birthday in September. What would you advice for a party? I can think of putting my pictures together for quests to quess my age then,top popular songs in '72 and events from Wikipedia, putting some theme to it... anything great else ? i really don't know. if i gather myself i may write a poem (which i could send to my twin brother), but ... how to make sure it will be fun for me? I am so afraid I'll feel bad later.

  • I have no idea what age groups but it sounds like adults. IF SO
    I would make a list of the things I absolutely love to do.
    I personally like music and dancing and food so all those thing would be at a party I was giving for myself.
    I personally do not particularly like party games so I would not include them. In my twenties I would have included twister because I like it and the people I would have invited would have been willing to play, well most of them lol.
    Since I would be giving it I would also be the hostess so I would have to be making sure that everyone else was having a grand time and that would make me happy.
    If by you don't want to feel bad afterward you mean that it will flop you are kind of dooming yourself.
    If you mean you will feel old, well suck it up because you will be 40. But take heart you are only one day older than the day before and the best is yet to come.
