Does anyone have any suggestions how to get the smell of onions off your hands after you finish cutting them up?

  • BEST~~Toothpaste. Make sure your hands are fairly dry and put a gritty pasty toothpaste on them (not a gel). Rub it in good, between fingers and under finger nails. Rinse with warm to hot water. Repeat 2 or 3 times. If you still have a faint smell, apply a little underarm dedorant to your damp hands and rub in.
    Other things that will work eventually
    Peanut butter you have to rub that in for about 3-5 minutes.

  • lemon....or they make these metal stones you can rub and i swear they work!

  • Okay, this is going to sound weird but if you rub your hands on stainless steel like your sink or fridge, it will get the smell off. It works for onions, garlic, fish... anything that leaves a strong smell.

  • You may want to try lemon or organge. I sometime like scented soaps as well. Sometimes a little perfume will do the trick as well!!!! Good luck. I cook alot.
