Ice- ice maker , trays or bags?

We have an icemaker on our fridge and our fridge is brand new becasue teh one that came with the house a)didn't have an ice maker
b) had warm spots. Literally we had chicken that went bad because it thawed out next to groundbeef that was a solid chunk of ice

Right now, we buy bags of ice if/when we need ice for something. Hopefully when we get our new house we'll have an ice-maker on our fridge! my in-laws and my parents both have ice makers on their fridges and its so convenient :P we do have some ice trays but they are so awkward and take up too much space in my freezer.

Trays.. I used to be grossed out by them when I was little because we barely used them, so when we did.. the ice tasted like everything else in the freezer.
My husband uses so much ice now though that it's always a fresh batch.

ice maker. i hate trays...im so clumsy and trays were always a mess. so when we had to buy a new fridge i made sure that it could make its own ice haha.

My ice maker just quit on me!! Grrrr. We now go through the Beverage Barn every day. They give locals free ice.

We use the ice maker. This is the first rental refrigerator that has one. Otherwise trays. I don't use ice very often though.

We're not big ice users. I don't have the ice maker in the fridge connected due to no water line running behind the fridge and theres no space for trays. When we have company we just get a bag of ice.
