  • Those are very generous gifts! What will you do when Christmas is just a month after that?!

  • My son is turning 9 in January and I'm getting him superhero toys, beyblades, and comic books.

  • He's too young for a cell phone. Around here kids don't get them until they start middle school (6th grade). A kindle fire for a 9 year old. Are you kidding me? He's 9. Get him a video game or better yet, something for him to play with outdoors, a pogo stick, skate board, or rip stick. Let him get some excersize.

  • depending ont he amount of snow they get in Nov etc, the out door toys may not be so great- I dotn buy anything for outdoors for winter b-days or holidays.

I would say get him a DS ig he doesnt have one or games for the one he has, my nephew is asking for some pretty high priced legos (the set starts with an N), and he is really into the Percy jackson book series.

  • Mine likes any number of things, but I don't think he's responsible enough for a phone and he already has use of an iPad. He loves Legos (hero factory and the star wars series), star wars toys, nerf guns / cannons, books, games, anything fossil or space related, things of that sort. I guess it all depends on your budget, his maturity level and what he's into.

  • There is no reason to get a 9 year old a phone or a kindle. Get him real books. Does he need a new bike? Scooter/hockey equipment/skates/ Something to be active with. New bedroom furniture. If you have to get something techy, what about an ipod nano, I know 7 and 8 year olds with ipod touches, and they have all broken them, so go as cheap as possible. I hate hearing parents complain about their kids breaking things they should have never had in the fist place lol

  • I wouldn't get those high priced things, knex, harry potter, pokemon, bayblade, yugio, what is he into? Something that will make him use his mind or his body or best of all...BOTH.
