My little girl has her first little boyfriend

My daughter started pre-k this week and her teacher informed me today that another little four year old boy in her class brought her his cookie at lunch and asked her if he could sit beside her. She said yes and he told her "I think you are very pretty." and she said "Thank you. I think you are very handsome." He giggled and turned red and the two of them had a lunch date. I told my husband and he said that he was going to have a talk with that boy. "Honey, they're only four," I told him. "They aren't running off to Vegas."

I'm a kindergarten teacher so I see this kind of puppy love a lot. It is so cute. Last year, two of my students were "boyfriend and girlfriend" and I caught them at lunch, trying to eat spaghetti like Lady and the Tramp, eating the same noodle until they kissed. They were so cute that I almost hated to tell them to stop.
