All latex condoms sold in the US must pass safety standards set by the government (regardless of where they are manufactured as long as the company is US backed). So, yes, they are all "equal" in quality. But different brands have different textures, flavors, sizes, etc. half the fun is finding your favorite brand(s)!
I recommend Trojan ( and Durex as my fav brands. They both offer lots of variety as far as textures for pleasure and different (pre-lubed) condoms that can make your man last longer or gives you extra feeling.
There are condoms that are made out of other materials (for those allergic to latex) like sheep skin, etc. But, these do not have the same protection against STDs and if you buy condoms from an "ethnic/specilaty" store they may not be regulated in the same way as other condoms. (like condoms from a non-US backed company...usually will have the countries original language on the box instead of english
