Question about who is responsible

My cousin is buying a double wide on contract and pays lot rent. Her landlord pays sewer and water bill. It rained hard the other day and now the sewer is backing up into the home. She seen a neighbor with some people in white outfit going under someone home so she thinks they are also having issue.


She was not who is responsible whether it be her, the landlord or the town for getting it taken care of?


Does anyone know?

  • if its from the drainage/underground/rains..i'd say the city is responsible.

  • It all depends on what caused the back-up . Something doesn't make sense. Usually they back up into basements, or things just don't go down. I would suggest she check with her insurance agent.
