How long A wait can you have before getting your period back when coming off BC? adult content

I was on mirena for 5 years. Went off of it in March but jumped right into raking Tripreva Fem pills. These had my period coming back full force! 7 day period. Plus teu were making me sick so I stopped taking them on June 21. My last period though was June 12-18th. I have taken HPT but they have came up negative. So I giess I'm just waiting it out. How long is the normal wait to be back to normal?

  • I was on depo for 18 months. While on it, I was having terrible periods, 6 month cycles, 3 days off, 5 weeks on... horrible. So, I finally decided enough was enough... after having those terrible crazy long periods, it took mine 3 months to come back, and 6 months to become "regular" again.

  • It depends on your body and the type of birth control. I was on a pill before I got pregnant with my two kids. Neither time did much change from stopping the pill and my regular cycles. The biggest difference I noticed was the cramps off the pill were worse.

After my daughter was born I started taking Depo. I was on that for 4 years. July 9, 2011 was my last shot and I'm still not back to normal yet.
