Getting pregnant after a tubal?

I see women on here all the time saying they have gotten pregnant after a tubal, so im wondering how many yrs after your tubal did you get pregnant again?
It's been almost 2 yrs since mine and I think im pregnant, im a week late .... Im going to get a test later today, but just curious as to how long after a tubal other women have gotten pregnant. *by surprise*

  • I had mine done almost 9 years ago, no surprises. I believe I read somewhere that the chances are super slim, but they go up the longer it's been since you had it done, although the chances are still small. It also depends on how they did it. If they did a cut, tie, and burn, it's pretty much impossible. But if they only cut and tied, or cut and burned, it's *possible* for the tube to grow back together.

  • My mom had one ~32 years ago. I'm still her baby!

    But yes, it is possible to get pregnant even after a tubal. It also depends on how old you are....Are you close to menopause?

  • I read the odds of getting pregnant after a tubal are 5 in 1,000 after 1 year and 13 in 1,000 after 5 years. My sister and I looked this up when she was considering getting a tubal. She got hers done 16 years ago. She hasn't had any other children.

  • I had mine clamped. I was googling and seen its possible for the scar tissue to form holes over time .... but its only like a 1% chance of that happening! Took a test, not pregnant. Thank god! Must just be off track this month.
