At waht age did your child stop taking naps?

  • He was younger than most kids, I believe it was before he was 2. If he had a nap he would try to stay up all stinkin night so we kept him up during the day.

  • He was close to 3, he skipped them a few times during the week until gradually he was done, but it was nice because he went to bed earlier and easier :)

  • He had quiet time instead of nap since he was about 3. Sometimes he would sleep, most of the time he wouldn't. He could read a book or watch a movie as long as he was lying down and quiet.

  • All but the youngest were around 18 months when they just stopped taking naps. It wasn't something I forced on any of them...if they wanted to nap, they'd crash out on their own, but most days, they didn't nap.

    My youngest, however, would get very VERY cranky if she didn't get her naps! She's almost 6 and will still crash out every now and then.

  • Lucky for me both mine stil nap I have a 2yr old and 5yr old of course the 5yr old doesnt nap occasionally oh and does my hubby count lol he still naps to old fart jk
