Nose aspirator..do all babies scream like that?!!

I feel like a bad mommie making her scream but if I don't get it out she ends up gagging or throwing up from the snot going down her throat. I'm not doing it wrong right?

  • Not sure I'd like being held down, having something shoved up my nose, and getting my brains sucked out either! Especially if I'm already crabby from not feeling good. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Better than not being able to breathe.

  • It makes them scream. I felt so bad for the baby that I tried it on myself. It doesn't hurt. It just scares them, I think. They feel so much better afterwards, though.

  • When they get older, you can make a game out of it and it helps...."Let me get those boogies" in a sing-songy voice eases the tension when we have to do it....

Do very short snorts, too....short and fast, rather than long and deep. (helps with mine...)
