Work from Home Agent... LiveOps/WestatHome

Has anyone ever heard of LiveOps or West at Home? Does anyone have experience with either company? I am considering applying for one. Is it basically a customer service job or are you trying to sell all the time? Any info. or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

  • Both are customer service based. You take incoming calls from customers who would like to place an order. I too worked for West quite a while back & found it just didn't fit with me at the time. If you have little ones at home, you may have to find a sitter or work odd hours because you cannot have any sort of background noise that would suggest you were working from your home. There were also issues with getting hours as there were too many reps & all the good hours were taken right away. You were also only paid for actual "talk time" so if you had no calls coming in, no pay.
As for LiveOps, I haven't worked with them personally but I do have a friend who did and made decent money. I think she worked quite a few hours though.

  • I've never tried any of those. I simply can't be tied down to the phone at a certain time. If you want to see the free ways I made money in the past year, go to  http://www.freewebs.com/free2workathome/

  • 4kids1970: You said you don't pay any money upfront... does that mean you eventually have to pay something? Also how is the pay- commission or set hourly rate, I guess are you making decent money? Thanks
