Anybody as happy about this as I am?

Obama has finally put a cap on the income of the high executives who have been getting bonuses and huge pay while we are paying for thier companies to survive. I think this is incredible news!

  • I agree it is crap that we are bailing them out but really, now that we are do we want to give them $25 million so that they can give the executives 1/2 of that in pay????

  • Not really - it's only going to apply to certain ones, not all of them, and they still have the option to make up the difference with stock later. It's not a pay cut, it's just deferred payment, and does not address the bigger issue of why they are failing in the first place (Vegas, jets, renovations, incompetence)

  • They never should have been bailed out to begin with. That said, if you read further into it you will find where there are many loopholes. It only applies to certain executives, not all. And it doesn't include bonuses and perks. So basically Obama is blowing smoke.
