  • We used them last year and will not be using them again. Their employees are not that well trained and their software misses a lot of stuff.

  • Used to use them. Wouldnt recommends them again. They are impersonal, charge too much and you can get the same thing free by doing it yourself at turbotax.

  • I like them. :) I don't like their fees but only because I've had it done for FREE before but I don't live in that town anymore so... yeah, can't do that. :) I got the money back in a timely manner. I have an appt. with them tonight at 7pm so yeah, I'd use them again. ;)

  • They're expensive & always come up with the same amount as I can figure out on my own at home.

I DO, however, e-file for free throught their website. Filed it last weekend, got my refund yesterday.

  • Ripe off! They charge like, 15 dollars a page when you can go get them from the post office and do it yourself.

  • We used H&R Block for several years now. We just don't want to take the time to do our own taxes.
However, this year we need every penny we can possibly get back so we're going to do them online ourselves. H&R charges per form and it gets expensive. We've always been treated well with them though. We may go back to using them when we're not so strapped for money.

  • We used them one year, then the next year we made an appointment, sat in the waiting area for over an hour after our scheduled time (with a 7 year old and a 2 year old!) and never got taken care of. Their reasoning...unless you specify a certain preparer, it's first come, first served! So really, having an appointment meant NOTHING! I walked out and never went back. They charged us over twice the amount that our new tax preparer charges us, plus the new one found us extra deductions that H&R said we weren't eligible for. We will not use them again!

  • H&R Block got me $500 more than Jackson Hewitt last year. But I usually do my takes for free online on the H&R Block website. But last year we went to an office to get the instant refund!
