2 Bumps

HPTs

We're TTC and originally I thought I should test once a month.
But I wonder, would it be better to test every two weeks?
What is your expert advice, thoughts, opinions?
Is every two weeks too much or is once a month not enough?

  • The only difference would be how soon you know- and really two weeks isn't that big of a deal KWIM?

This link is very graphic but they seem to have some very good information regarding the uterus and what to look/ feel for.

  • IMO- once a month or after first missed period

Are you using the ovulation kits or just being aware of your body? Have you looked at this site?

  • Thank you for the link.
I'm not using ovulation trackers or anything at all; we're just trying to go about it naturally and with as little stress about it as possible, just seeing what happens. I try not to think about it really, but have to admit I do...am excited to be pregnant again and am really hoping it doesn't take forever (which it could possibly as I've been on Depo the last 2 years).
I would like to think that I'd recognize the signs of early pregnancy but I've only ever been pregnant once (that I know of) and of course every pregnancy can be different.
Just wondering if there really would be much of a difference if I tested once or twice a month.
I have not had a regular/real period in close to three years due to pregnancy and then Depo so of course if I ever do start periods again a missed on would be a good indicator to take a test!

  • I am not a good person to ask, because I test repeatedly starting about a week before my period should start. In all honesty, knowing as early as possible or a couple weeks later...you're pregnant either way for the same 40 weeks. If you're TTC, you're probably already doing the things you should like not drinking, taking vitamins, etc. I just can't stand the wait.
