  • Mean? No. Just going to be troublesome for you either way.

  • Nope, I don't. Lots of things are done in a child's best interest that aren't necessarily nice.

  • I had to when she was little and I still do it occasionally.

  • I have done it before and I feel horrible! Sometimes you have to do what you have to do... It's mean to yell at them too but you might when they are running around at 1 am :-)

  • No, I do it because I know even though I might have to deal with some fussiness for a bit, it is much better than being up all night. I have to do that with my 7 month old sometimes. He normally goes to sleep about 8:30-9, but I have had him try to fall asleep at 6 or 7 and then he will be up until 11 or 12.

  • not really. if i let my son nap past 4 it will throw off his whole sleep schedule and he will be cranky & off schedule for days. a little crankiness once is worth it when the alternative is days & days of crankiness!

  • I don't think it's mean at all. I am a scheduled person, but also can't let my daughter sleep past 3:30pm or she'll have trouble falling asleep at night.
