How sad that something that millions of kids love to do, could result in something so awful.

  • That is really upsetting and so sad. When the girl died before why didn't they check the lake back then. Maybe it could have been prevented.

  • That's devastating. I can't even begin to imagine the pain of the family.

  • This and alligators are the reasons I won't get into a lake anymore. I live in FL and most of our lakes near us have been shut down do to the potential for amoeba.

  • They just had this type of parasite on the show called Mystery ER, I think thats the name. Anyway, in the article it mentioned there was only 1 survivor. Well that was the girl who actually survived that parasite that was profiled in the show. But this is precisely why I do not swim in lakes. Well that and the icky things that creep into my head when I am walking on the sand and seaweed. I have a very over active imagination!!
But how so very sad, like others I can't even begin top know what they are feeling and what they are going through. I know if it was my dd, I would seriously consider death over the loss of her!
