Help

i took a cvs pregnancy test and there was only one line that came up in the window but there was no other line in the control window. what does this mean

  • If there is no line in the control window, the test is defective. Buy another test and try again.

  • Yes, but nothing in the control window. That's the purpose of the control window. If there is nothing in the control window, you know the test is defective. That will be in the directions.

  • Buy a new one. The side to side negative line is just a piece of plastic that shows through when it gets wet. It will show up for everything because nothing from the test actually triggers it. It's just for visual + or -

  • ^^Depends on the type of test. I liked the ones without the case, the paper strips with two vertical lines.

  • I've probably taken apart 20+ brands of tests. CVS included. I've never seen one where the negative line on the + or - style tests was anything but a piece of plastic. The cartridge tests, the strip tests without the plastic, the vertical line tests...different story, but the + or - tests are basically the same little strip as you get in the others with that negative piece put in for "easy read" results.
