  • By voter rights and responsibilities I meant id to vote, roadblocks to voting, not religion

  • Abortion: I don't think I could ever have one myself, but if someone else wants one, it's their decision.
Gay marriage: Absolutely should be legal all over the US.
Voter rights and responsibilities: I do think you should have to have ID to vote and I don't believe that it's too hard for some people to get one. I don't think anyone should interfere with your right to vote, and aside from normal, healthy debates, I don't think anyone should try to influence how you vote.

  • Gay Marriage: I don't think it's appropriate but everyone has the right to be happy with whomever they love.
Abortion: It is a decision between the couple and their doctor and no one else's business. It should be legal.
Voting: People in this country don't take it serious enough. In many countries there are negatives for not voting and other countries where some people can't vote. It needs to be a big priority in our adult lives.

  • ABORTION: It's a woman's choice. The government and the religious right have NO BUSINESS telling a woman that she HAS to continue with a pregnancy she doesn't won't. For that matter, no one but that woman should be making that decision unless she is in a coma and her spouse/family has to decide which to save.

GAY MARRIAGE: Every consenting adult should have the right to marry the person they love.

VOTING: I do not see a problem with having to show a pic ID to be able to vote. We have to show ID for other things, even to see a doctor. It is not discrimination.

HEALTHCARE: Medical and drug costs in this country are ridiculously outrageous. People cannot afford to go to the doctor or get needed medications. This MUST change. Healthcare should NOT be for rich only.

WELFARE: The system is obviously broken but instead of doing away with, just fix it so it will still be there for those that need help. Weed out the abusers.

  • Abortion: I would never and could never. I would be very dissappointed in my family is I found out they'd had one. However, I don't believe the government should be in control of a womans body. Women should have the right to choose. I just wish women (as a whole, not individually) would make better choices.

Gay marriage: Should be legal, and celebrated in the same way as a man-woman marriage. I'd like to see the stats on the divorce rate amoung the gay community compared to the divorce rate among the straight community. Again, it not the governments right to tell a person who they can and cant fall in love with.

Voting: I'll be honest and admit I dont follow anything political closely enough. It would be unfair for me to really voice an opinion when I'm not fully informed.

#1: I believe in a woman's right to choose. (But hope they don't choose it as a form of BC)
#2: I support gay marriage & can't wait for the day when it's no longer "a huge social issue."
#3: I believe anyone old enough to vote should do so. Do some research- which goes beyond watching the attack ads on TV. If you don't vote then you have no right to complain about things :/

  • Abortion: I'm pro choice. I don't want to decide for another woman what path is right for her to take, but I also don't want to pay for or subsidize her path either.

Same Sex Marriage - I'm fine with it as long as the laws that are written to recognize it don't infringe on other people's rights (i.e. making it possible to sue a church for not performing a ceremony because it goes against their beliefs).

Voter ID laws - I agree with them.  I fail to see the down side of supplying citizens with a photo ID free of charge when there are so many other things you need to have an ID for.

  • voting rights is ENORMOUS for my husband and I. both our families are mega into elections and campaigns. my in laws have had meals with great figures and my mom has worked in campaign offices. I guess we rebelled from them.... we are anti voting and pretty anti politics in general. we CHOOSE to not vote and cast opinions. it makes our families furious. they make it seem like a law is being broken, like we're forced to vote or we'll face jail time
