What would be good vendors to have at a Memorial Day weekend motorcycle gathering?

My husband's American Legion has put him in charge of improving their Memorial Day celebration. Right outside of D.C., they have hundreds of bikers that gather together to ride into the parade together. He was looking for suggestions to gather MORE bikers and raise money for his American Legion and their charity that pays a full ride through college if the child had a parent that passed away in Iraq/Iran. No food vendors, because they sell their own meals. I was thinking a peanut vendor to make them thirsty? Magnet vendors? A motorcycle detailing vendor? Does anyone do craft shows??? How much do one of those booths cost to rent typically? OR, what would be a good rate...

Any suggestions on this would be great - we have a little less than a year! :)

  • What our high school does is rent tables out for $25 and 15% of their sales goes to the school. It doesn't matter what kind of vendor, but ones that sell motorcycle paraphernalia would be good.

  • Can you have beer? What about calling some local motorcycle dealers to get them to sell shirts, etc or maybe even bring some of their bikes? I would say it would be a good advertisement for them.

  • There's companies that have wine consultants; and maybe a food vendor like tastefully simple!
