Best ways to rebuild credit

What are some good and safe ways to rebuild your credit rating?
Is a secured credit card one? Dont they report to the credit bureaus on a secured credit card?
On a debit card or even a prepaid debit card, they dont get reported to credit bureaus.
What types of things will show on your credit report to start rebuilding credit?

  • A secured credit card will work. Start with something that you know you can pay each month. DON'T use it for anything you won't be able to cover. Use it each month, pay it or keep a very small balance on it . You must pay more than the minimum do each month to get a better credit score. If the minimum due is $25, pay $35 or more....or pay it off. Don't run the bill up to more than half of your available credit. Using less than half of your available credit is good for your credit score.

  • A secured loan works great too. Get a loan for 500 but the bank keeps 500 of your dollars locked in an account until you pay loan off in case youdont pay this allows you to build credit withing 3/6months!!

  • Loan repayment raises your credit faster (like an auto loan). Capitol One has several credit cards for people with lower scores.

  • Pay your bills on time. Never be lat with a bill. Because every bill goes on your credit now days.
