SO my mom is a new manager for a company and she has an employee who she has to do a review on. This employee is a really good worker, however she is an ass. Obviously mom can't write "don't be such an ass to your coworkers" on her review, so how would you put something like that nicely? We are really kinda stumped on this one. There really should be a guide for new managers on how to reword things so they aren't so hurtfull, but so that they still get the point across and the point really is stop being an ass.
A couple others that we need help with are....."shut up and just do your work" and "stop forgetting to use the damn time clock, how stupid are you if you want to get paid clock in and out" LOL
1. How about "strive for a closer rapport with other employees," "or work towards harmony within the office." "Part of being an effective employee is co-existing peacefully with your co-workers"
2. "It's good to be friendly, but strive to use work time efficiently" "Socialize on breaks and after hours"
3. "Assist payroll/management in getting your checks to you in a timely manner by being more conscientious about using the time clock."

has trouble getting along with co-workers or excellent worker needs to learn to respect co-workers or needs to learn to not disrespect co-workers or consequences will follow.....shut up and do your work...umm...needs to learn how to use extra time more wisely....you are at work if you have time to lean(or talk) then you have time to clean....time clock...simple....if you dont clock in and out then you simply dont get paid and also let them know write ups will follow each time time clock is not used

1) Needs to be more pro active about social harmony in the workplace. 2) Good relationships with co workers is essential and produces a wonderful work environment. However most socialization needs to be kept to the appropriate times and areas for work productivity to increase. 3) With out clocking in and out at the proper times payroll can not issue you a check in a timely fashion or for the correct amount of time you have worked. Please remember to clock in an out in an efficient manner.
