A monumental first for me!

I just received my first speeding ticket. It was a doozy too! 26 mph over the post speed limit! This means I now have 5 points on my license!
I am irritated with myself. I was going with the flow of traffic and there was a speed trap. The cop was standing in the middle of the road waving cars over. There were several cops along the road waiting to write up the tickets.
I normally don't go that fast, but I was late.
SO, trying to make up for being late doesn't pay!

Hot damn! Five points... but how much is the fine?

I have only had two speeding tickets. The first one, I was driving 14 over the limit and had a huge glowing Dominos Pizza sign attached to my car... there was no way I was going to get out of that one.

That sucks- 26 miles an hour over the limit? OUCH

I've never had a speeding ticket- jsut a warning, but I was only about 5mph over it

That sucks! I seem to get lucky when pulled over for speeding. 40 over in a construction zone but no ticket, just written warning. 25 over but being military he only wrote me up for 11 over, no points and an $80 fine. Easy peasy.

It's not supposed to . They are only supposed to report it to insurance if you go over 6 points more than once.
