Isn't there some type of money-back guarantee when you get a car from an auction?

My son bought a car from an auction like a month ago & it's history already. (blown gasket) I know this is an expensive life lesson for him, but I think it's terrible to put something like that up for auction for people to spend their hard-earned $ on.

  • A blown head gasket? That's not that hard to fix really.... The engine isn't shot, just the head gasket. If he knows of a trustworthy mechanic, or is mechanically inclined it could be fixed...

My husbands a mechanic, and said it's fixable.

  • I think all auctions are as is, like garage sales. It is a buyer beware market.
