Are there any hair stylists on here....I have a question...

I have a deep conditioning treatment that requires you to sit under heat for 10 min. Can that be duplicated by using a hair dryer with the diffuser attachment?

  • Not a pro- placing a plastic cap over your hair and sitting with it for a little longer is also effective. We have to use this technique when bleaching DD's hair. Also you can get an attachment for under $10 if you're going to do this on a regular basis, here are some links:

  • Ok thanks! What about those home bonnet dryers? Should I bother or do they suck?

  • sort of...the difference is the hair dryer at the salon is hotter, and can get the entire head covered at once. you'd be better off throwing a towel in a hot dryer, then wrapping your head in it (after applying the conditioner, and bagging it).
