gel before induction?

When given the gel treatment to ripen cervix before an induction do they do that at the hospital or just your doctor's office then send you on your way?my doc wants to do gel treatments this weekend and induce when cervix is ripe enough? THANKS

  • Mine was done at the hospital. They sent me to there right after my Doctor's appointment. Once they do the gel, you have to wait about an hour before you can leave.

  • They did the gel when I got to the hospital. Within minutes I had contractions.
