Do you paint your DD's nails?

I paint my DD's toenails because she sees me do mine and always wants hers done too. Some people in my family think thats crazy because my DD is only 2. So I just wanted to see what other mommies paint their daughters nails too.

  • I paint my daughter's nails on occassion...probably like 2-4 times a year. I don't paint my nails too often and when I do it's usually because it's nice outside and I'm wearing sandals. I'm not against doing it for her.

  • My daughter is 8, and I will only let her paint her toenails, but even then, only if they are clean.

  • I painted them once, but she chewed it all off within a few days--so now i'll stick to painting her toes until she's done teething.

  • Wow, your family would really think I'm crazy. I ALWAYS have my naild and toenails painted. Like, I MAKE time to paint them every couple days. Which is wierd, cause I live on a farm and sooo don't care about makeup or looks. I do it for me, and started when I quite biting my nails when I was about 15. I have been painting my DDs nails on occasion since we was about 2 months old. lol She is now 13 months and I don't do it anymore cause she won't leave them alone and gets polish all over the house.

  • I always painted my two daughters nails, even at 2! It is a great bonding time with Mom and daughters and who gives a hoot what others say. I never painted them whore red or some other "adult" color, it was always a pretty pink - sparkling light mauve.....etc. My oldest daughter is 22 and my baby girl is 16, we STILL paint each others toes! =D

  • yes only toes though. It comes off too quickly on the fingers, & looks nasty.

  • My daughter sucked her index finger till she was about 6, so NO she didnt' have her fingernails painted lol. Now that she's 9, she and her friends will paint their nails. Sometimes she and I go and have maincures. It's a mother/daughter thing for us, just like I take my 15 year old son to concerts on occasion

  • yes I painted my daughters that young and she paints her own now at 7. She matches them to holidays and alternates colors on different nails to match her outfits...its cute!

  • Yep! My I paint her toenails but not her fingernails because she puts her fingers in her mouth but I did her toenails last summer when she was 8 months old lol

  • I paint her little toes all the time. Not her fingers, they go in her mouth too often and I dont want her to digest the paint if it chips off. I have been painting her toes since she was a month old. I love a pale pink shade..
