Which middle name sounds best with Oliver?

DH and I have our fingers crossed to start TTC baby #2 in December. We already know the girl name and we know the boy name will be Oliver, but we can't decide on a middle name. We like Oliver Atticus, Oliver Dawson, Oliver Gavin, Oliver Jensen, Oliver Maximus, Oliver Nathaniel, Oliver Reid, Oliver Simon & Oliver Zachary. Which of these names do you like best? Our last name is Richards.

  • Atticus has too many syllables.  I'd keep the middle to 2 syllables.  Unless your last name is just 1 syllable.  I would go Maxwell instead of Maximus. Oliver Simon is very nice.  Jensen doesn't match the formality of Oliver.  Reid is good.  Gavin with Oliver sounds like a British Country star.  lol

  • I like Reid, especially with the two-syllable last name.

  • I like Reid the best out of those...I kinda like Zachary too...but it might be quite a mouthful to say thw whole name together

The only thing with Ried is that you say the last name starts with R so not sure how it would all sound together- even though Oliver Reid sounds good

  • With those choices I'd have to agree with Reid unless you went with Max. But, I really like Oliver Chris.

  • Nathaniel. In fact before opening the question and reading the "options" I thought of it.
