  • just means baby went through a growth spurt. Im sure your doctor will be watching it closely, since you are getting close, but I wouldn't be concerned. Also, just because your measuring big, doesn't mean you will have a big baby.

  • I measured right on with my daughter and she was 9 lbs 1 oz. At 36 weeks my doc sent me in for a u/s with my son because I wasnt gaining any weight (only 5 lbs total by 36 weeks) and she wanted to make sure he was growing. The u/s tech said "your only 36 weeks right?" I said yes and she said he's measuring at 39 weeks. Anyway at that check up he supposedly weighed 7 lbs 10 oz. At birth (40 weeks 1 day) he weighed 9 lbs 6 oz. I only gained 10 lbs total from start to finish in that pregnancy.

I wouldnt be to concerned. Baby is just growing alot. Maybe baby will be really tall/long.
