  • Depends on how ready she is.
If you are in the early, "get her used to the idea" stage, then read storybooks about it and watch videos about it. Talk about it - where does mommy pee? Does mommy wear a diaper? What does mommy wear?
Once she's ready, take her to the potty often - every hour at least. Once she actually goes in the potty, have a big celebration. Once she is staying dry between potty trips, switch her to panties and have another party. Eventually, she'll let you know when she has to go. And someday, she'll go on her own without telling you.
And remember, night time dryness has nothing to do with potty training. She may self night train or she may wet the bed for years. Keep her in diapers or pullups at night until she is fully day trained or until you notice she's staying dry all night.
