What's your favorite country/western song? i'm not a fan, but...

'FANCY' is my all time fave. lol. i'm not even a fan of Reba McEntire, but i love this song.
it also made a great drag-show number, as i recall.
i still remember the 'gal' who performed it. lol.

I like a couple Reba songs too but mostly I abhor country music, I also really like Garth Brooks' 'The River' (I think that's what its called, haven't heard it in AGES)

Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks is probably my all time country fave but new country I love American Honey by Lady Antebellum and Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not by Thompson Square. I play those 2 out in the car lol.

There is a local girl who sings cowboy songs. Her name is Carin Mari, dh and I just saw her at a after the fair party a couple of weeks ago. She's amazing. I'm not big on country but her style is incredible. She was up for the Texaco Country Showdown last year and came in second. She's a protege of Michael Martin Murphy

This was my dad's favorite song and my sil sang it at his funeral mass. I had never heard it before she sang it, but it is now a favorite of mine.
