If half of bailout #1 still exists, why is another being pushed?

If there is still half of the $700 billion bailout from the Bush administration, why is Obama pushing this new plan of roughly $825 billion. He is trying to get support for this package by "promising the funds will be used to stop foreclosures and bankruptcies".

Well, if half of the money is still lingering from bailout #1, what grounds does Obama have for this new one? I haven't heard a single straight answer yet. Not to mention the DOW dropping 25% after bailout #1, why would Obama want that to happen again?

  • It's not another bailout. It's being called a stimulus plan but really it's a spending plan. Obama likes to spend other people's money. 660 million in campaigning, 920 B in the new spending plan and who knows what he spent as a Senator.

  • -More than $4 billion is earmarked for "neighborhood stabilization activities" — money that will go to groups like ACORN, which worked closely with the Obama campaign, the same group accused of massive voter fraud.
-Almost half of the proposed spending will directly benefit the Service Employees International Union, federal, state, and municipal employee unions, or other Democratic-controlled unions, according to writer Ben Stein.
-$600 million goes for news cars for top gov. bureaucrats.
-Obama promised major infrastructure projects — yet only 5% of all the money goes for this.
-$50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts.
-$75 million to fund anti-smoking programs.
-$650 million for the switch from analog tv to digital.
-$335 million to help prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.
-$600 million for “climate change” research programs.
