How would you compare a dad to the heart, a mom to the blood vessels and children to the heart?

Hi everyone...
I'm doing a paper for a college class and need to compare a dad to the heart, a mom the blood vessels and children to the blood. I'm having some troubles. I need similarities. Just looking for some ideas.
Thank you.

  • Think about it. It's pretty clear. Think about what the heart does for the entire body, what the blood vessels do, and what the blood does. And what does the father do, etc.

  • The mom should be the heart - or both mom and dad should be the heart. Should be equal.

  • the heart is the strongest musle in the body, the blood vessels make sure everything gets where it needs to be, the blood is what keeps everything alive
the dad is usually the "hardest" (paid) working person in the family, the mom always know where everything and everyone needs to be and makes sure it all gets done, the kids bring new vitality to married life with their fresh perspectives and innocent outlook on life
