What do I wear to a morning wedding in November?!

The wedding will be in Iowa, so it will be cold and possibly snowy. It'll be in a church, with the reception following right there in the church. I do have a really cute navy blue maxi dress I'd love to wear, but it's sleeveless - what could I put over it, and what color shoes would I wear with it?! Any other ideas? The couple is very casual, I know he'll be wearing just nice khakis and a dressy shirt and she'll be wearing something simple (second marriage for both, they're about 45-50).

I love dulls's idea too. I have a slightly off-white denim jacket, and a fitted chocolate brown corduroy jacket...wonder if one of those would work...

i must admit - i read down before replying -

i love the idea of the fitted brown jacket - it could be any type of material - or the dressy sweater - and i think boots would be ideal, considering what the weather might be at that time of year in iowa - have a great time - i'm certain that your blue dress is beautiful and that you will look stunning in it !!!
