how can i spruce up frozen Veggies?

carrot, broccli, & cauliflower. what can i do to make it better ??

  • It depends on what you are shooting for. If you aren't counting calories you can add butter, salt and pepper to them or cheese or toss them in a light alfredo sauce. If you do want to watch what you eat, you can use the spray butters that have no calories and put salt and pepper on them or some mrs. dash. You could also try some low fat cheese sauce

  • I usually do this with frozen broccoli...
    1. blanch the broccoli (leave it in boiling water for about a minute; should still be crunchy), transfer to a bowl and allow to cool slightly
    2. In a dry frying pan (or oven) toast some pine nuts.
    3. drizzle olive oil and salt (to taste) over broccoli and toss to combine.
    4. Add the toasted pine nuts and toss again.

  • garlic, pepper and a little butter. Put a little water in a pan and kinda sautee them, putting the lid on most of the time.
