What kind of frog does this sound?

I've always thought they just "ribbit" but we have a small underground pool and every evening when I step outside there's this frog that makes a screeching or a scream and jumps into the pool.
I don't know if I startle it as I come out bc I do not mean to scare or hurt it.

Just wonder... dd9 and I have already taken out a frog from the pool and put to safety but I wonder if it's the same frog bc it's always just one (it's been at least 4 different occasions)

Thanks Ladies!

  • The ribbit you hear in movies and stuff are actually from a frog that's native to California. It's the only frog that ribbits but it's become what we take as the standard because it's used in films, TV and cartoons. It sounds like you have a bullfrog.
