PDD help?

Can anyone give me tips on how to raise my 2 yr old son who has PDD. He has Sensory issues and eating issues and sleeping issues too. He is hard to handle and I'm on the verge of a break down....Help!!!

  • Make a call to your developmental pediatrician's office for some ideas...groups for you and for him.

    Talk to his therapists...OT, PT, ST...which ever...get ideas from them.

    Slow down and breathe....remember that it's okay if mommy needs a timeout, too!!

    Get someone to come in and give you a hand, if not a break.

    Deal with things as they come up...don't worry about what "might" happen today.

    Do what you must to get YOUR rest. It's even harder if you're not well rested.

  • i would ask this question in some of the autism groups they would be the best place to aks just go to the groups page then type in autism and they will pop up they have some really creative aproaches things i would never think of but they work
