  • Not at all. Sugar was not as readily available back then and was highly taxed.

  • Wow. But you have to think, back then, things like cakes, cookies, sugary drinks, were rare treats. Now, they're readily available every day.

  • Sugar was very expensive back then and not readily available. But yes, we do eat too much sugar.
