You might want to bring proof of household income, birth certificates, rent/mortgage contract, utility bills, social security cards for all household members, and ....?? You will be given a list of what else they need.

Then you need to look up the address in the phone book and go and apply.

Bring hand sanitizer and a good book. Leave the children home with someone else.

Google Social services in your state, see if they have an option to apply online, if not visit the local office.

Call DHS in your county - Department of Human Services.

Call 211 or go online and type in food stamp appliction in Iowa. You can probably apply online.
