What size baking dish is 2 qts?! 9x13? 8x8? ???

None of my glass baking dishes are marked, and I have a recipe that calls for using a 2 qt baking dish - what size does that mean?! I have a 9x13, 8x8, and a couple different oval sizes. The recipe is for peach cobbler and uses 8 peaches, if that helps any.

  • 2qt is either 8x8 or 9x9. We have three 9x13 that are 3qt.

  • Thank you! Now I can start preparing my cobbler to go in the oven when the lasagna is done! Kick-ass supper tonight at my house!

  • Well, between the 6 of us, an 8x8 pan won't leave much left over!

  • I'm not sure I'll use the 8 peaches either - the ones I have are huge!

  • Fill them all with water and then dump the water into a large measuring bowl and see. good question though. Most recipes say the size of the pan to use.
