so today my 4 year old son went to the neurologist , the dr said that he had some autistic similarities, and that he was scheduling him for two brain scans at a Hospital ! He has to be sedated so the procedure can be done correctly , my question is was it easy to decide rather if medication was the right thing for a small child thats completely out of CONTROL ?? i have tried time outs, taking away toys , GOSH im at my wits end i dont knw what else to doAnswer Question

Well, if the tests need to be done, and he needs to be calm for the test, but he's " a small child thats completely out of CONTROL" - then how exactly are they going to do the test w/out medicating him? It'll be done in a medical, clinical setting, so I'm sure the mild sedation they use on millions of kids for millions of procedures will be safe for your son. I know it's a bit unnerving the 1st time they have to go thru something like this, but I'm sure he will be fine. GL!
