A friend said this to me tonight, had to share

"I strive to be an over achiever so i can hope to reach mediocrity."

just laughed when she said it, (and so did she)

  • There are too many burn-outs in our society today and end up becoming less then mediocre. It's a good statement, if you don't burn-out.

  • I love my job. I work from home for myself. It is the first time that I have strived to be an overachiever. When I worked on Wall Street, I was content to do whatever I needed to do to get by. Now I get to play with my kids and work on my own terms. So nice. I never knew that this could be so good. I wish I had figured that out twenty years ago
