dog smells just a couple of days after grooming.

I hava shih tzu, and I get him groomed because his fur is to thick to use a shaver...
well he got groomed Tuesday and today he stinks again like he never bathed.
it is nasty and he takes forever to dry so I don't want to bathe him then send him out in the foot of snow...(if I bathe him right now he would still be wet by bedtime which is his next potty time)
blow drying is NOT our friend and doggy cologne just makes it smell like he pottied on a flower...lol...
any suggestions???

  • Agree about the ears. The other thing: sometimes when they are groomed, you need to try to keep the ears uncovered so it can dry well.

  • Have his ears checked. He could have an ear infection. Had the same problem with our dog and that was the reason.
