For weeks I went back and forth on whether to buy a Canon Rebel T3 or a Nikon D3100...both seem very, very comparable. When I went to finally take the plunge and buy one, I talked to the sales lady (who happened to be a photographer) and, from what I said I wanted it for (no delay in pictures, not blurry sports shots, decent zoom, etc.), she told me that unless I was set on a DSLR, to not bother with it. She recommended the Nikon Coolpix P510 saying how it was a "bridge" camera (not DLSR, but much better than average point-&-shoots). Anyway, I bought it a couple of weeks ago, and let's just say that I am officially in love with this thing!!
