Would you....?

Ok I am going through my childrens clothes right now, I am going to donate the clothes to the city mission but i dont know if i should donate the shirts, pants, socks that have a small hole(s) in them. I mean they arent big holes but very small, I know there are people out there with children who dont have anything so i dont know if i want to throw them out or donate them. What would you do?

  • Donate, somethings better than nothing ya know, even with a few holes.

  • It depends on the hole. Is it reparable? Noticable? etc. If it's not repairable or it's large enough to be noticable then don't donate it. You can try freecycle and see if anyone is looking for material for quilts or other such projects.

  • sometimes places say they won't take ripped/stained clothing, but if it's not a major issue I usually send them along anyway. I figure they will find SOME use for them, at least it's better than me throwing them away...

  • Since it's for a mission, I would probably just send them. I volunteered at a women's rescue shelter in college and we were never picky about what we got. If it had big holes, we just cut the usable part out to make rags for cleaning or to make quilts and blankets for infants.

  • Your trash could be someone else's treasure so donate it. I'm sure you will make someones day!
